Performance of subst. (Importance for industry/Subst.)

Definition: The substitute performance and substitute cost are incorporated in one single parameter called Substitute Cost Performance (SCP). The cost and performance elements are used for estimating the SCP sub-component using an evaluation matrix: • Substitute material technical performance and functionality in comparison to that of the candidate material within given application; • Substitute material cost in comparison to the cost of the candidate material within given application.
